The NTCP Project
The NorthEast Transport Connections Project (NTCP) is funded through the Victorian Government's Transport Connections program, a cross-government initiative to help communities work together to improve local transport.
The project aims to help develop an effective, efficient and sustainable transport service system in North East Victoria.
The project aims to develop an effective, efficient and sustainable transport service system for participating Local Government areas:
Collectively, the NTCP initiative aims to cater for a diverse range of community transport needs by providing flexible solutions for rural and isolated communities, and major regional hubs.
The project aims will be achieved by making provision for the following:
- The development of quality information services materials - print and electronic
- Increasing public awareness of services available
- Provision for door to door service
- Development of new services to respond to community needs
- Support and promote existing services
- Mapping new and existing services
Small Grants Program Guidelines
North East Transport Connections (NTCP) is introducing a Small Grants Program.
Grants are open to all project partners and community organisations within the project area. Organisations must be incorporated (or auspcied by an incorporated organisation) or statutory body.
The Aim is to develop innovative transport and efficient responses to the needs of the people with limited transport options.
Grants will be approximately $5000.00 for each local government and smaller grants up to $1000.00. Examples are walking groups,mobile grocery stores and virtual learning.
